It all started with the ceremony 😂
Yes. We students have had a ceremony before we completed the study. Before we even finished the last written exams. Before we finished the theoretical part of our study. Before we wrote our Master’s thesis. Before we defended it officially. Before we obtained all of our needed credit points.
That was so goddamn weird, that it felt unreal. I mean – Having the funny mage gown and a glass of champagne with some professors really felt good. But it still was chronologically too early for that. “Never crow too soon” but definitely never cheer too early for something that you haven’t accomplished yet.
I still don’t understand, why they planned the official ceremony before completing our studies. Maybe to do us a favor and grant us that special moment before accomplishing the theoretical part from the university terrain to start the internships worldwide? Or just for themselves to be able to have some promotional photos for advertising purposes?

But anyway – It was then time to finish the little rest of the theoretical part with some last minor exams. Then it was time for us students to go and start our internships in the companies and organizations to gain some practical experience. In my case, I was leaving to do my graduation internship at the Ministry of Tourism in Asunción, Paraguay.
That was at the same time the most extraordinary thing of all of my fellow students. If I remember correctly, I was the only student who left Europe to do an internship on another continent. It was a unique opportunity for me to go to Paraguay. How much do you know about Paraguay? Yes, exactly that’s the reason why I wanted to go.
In the Ministry of Tourism in Paraguay, I was participating in a project that involved the strategic development of a tourism plan on a national basis. Well, imagine that there was no such strategic development plan in Paraguay by 2017 for their national tourism. If you realize that you can also roughly imagine how far behind Paraguay is in development and how neglected tourism is treated in this country.
