Ceviche in the Dominican Republic – How does it taste?

Dominican ceviche bites at Muelle 47

Now, curious as I am, I wanted to try the Dominican Ceviche in a fish restaurant. To do this, I went to a shopping mall that has such a specialized restaurant. The nautical-themed restaurant called Muelle 47 can be found on the first floor of Galeria 360.

First of all: Here I failed by far with the worst photos during my ceviche tour in the Dominican Republic. Since my GoPro7 has no flashlight, it was too dark or too little illuminated in the restaurant. The photos did unfortunately not turn out well because of the close-ups.

Ceviche as Fingerfood with bread as a side dish – Very odd!

This is the smallest amount of ceviche I’ve ever seen. Not even the small portions of the Peruvian ‘Leche de Tigre’ were as tiny as these plates.

Even the camera could barely find the fish…

The one with the zoom and the camera may not have worked because the portion was just too tiny. I simply had no choice but to eat the entire decoration away from the small ceramic bowl to find the main ingredient.

… thus I had to eat all the decorations before I discovered the main ingredient!

Overall, a very strange performance of ceviche that I had never seen before. In terms of taste, everything was okay, there was almost nothing to complain about. Maybe a little too little acidity and flavor, but at least the onions saved the taste here.

But now I wanted to try a slightly larger portion of the Dominican ceviche again. To do this, I went to a well-known restaurant on the beach boulevard in Santo Domingo, which has been based there for many decades.
